Guidelines for Authors

Thank you for considering contributing to The Redwood Journal Journal section. We value your expertise and insights, and we’re excited to collaborate with you in creating high-quality legal content that enriches our readers’ understanding of the law.
Submission Guidelines:
- Articles and Research Papers should be submitted in duplicate, typed document.
- Font Size:12 for body text, 14 for sub-headings (Times New Roman).
- Page Margin:1 Inch
- Headings & Sub-headings:Must be in bold.
- Line Spacing:5
- Footnotes and Citations:Must be mentioned properly.
- Grammar & Spellings:Should be checked thoroughly.
- Illustrations, figures, maps, and graphs should be in black and white, numbered serially.
- Tables & Figures:Numbered consecutively and placed at the end of the document.
- Abstract:A 200-word abstract must be submitted along with the article.
- A separate title pagemust contain the title, author’s name, designation, and contact details.
- Reference List:Only include references actually cited in the text.
- Articles can be co-authored(Maximum of 2 authors).
- All submissions must have a cover letterwith author details.
Word Limit:
- Long Article:4000-5000 words
- Short Article:1500-2000 words
1. Theme of the Journal:
The theme selected for The Redwood Journal Journal is any Contemporary Issue. The main focus should be on the latest trends in the field of Law.
Topics include (but are not limited to): Business , Contract, Law, Corporate , Constitutional, ADR, Intellectual Property Law, Cyber Law, Environmental, Human Rights , and more.
2. Originality and Plagiarism:
- Submitted articles must be original and unpublished.
- Properly attribute all sources and avoid plagiarism.
- The author is responsible for any legal issues arising from plagiarism.
3. Structure and Format:
- Structure your article with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion.
- Use headings and subheadings for better readability.
- Maintain a concise writing stylewithout excessive jargon.
4. Citations and References:
- Include accurate citations and references.
- Use a recognized citation style (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago) consistently.
5. Word Count:
- Long Article:4000 – 5000 words
- Short Article:1500 – 2000 words
6. Submission Process:
- Submit your article as a Word document or PDF.
- Include a brief author bio(max 100 words).

- Use the subject line: “Submission for Lawyers Journal – [Your Article Title]”
7. Review and Approval:
- Our editorial team will review your submission within 42 hours.
- Feedback may be provided for revisions.
8. Author Responsibility:
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of their content and sources cited.
9. Copyright and Ownership:
- By submitting, you grant The Redwood Journalnon-exclusive rights to publish.
- You retain ownership and may republish elsewhere.
10. Engaging with Readers:
Authors are encouraged to engage with readers by responding to comments and questions.
